P11 – A new beginning

As a car enthusiast, I am sure you have asked yourself the following questions to yourself at any given point in time –

1. “What exhaust should I get?”
2. “What offset should I get these wheels in?”
3. “Where is this rattling noise coming from?”
4. “Why isn’t there one workshop who can sort out all my troubles?”

It has been concluded that car enthusiasts all over the world have spent countless hours on the quest of unearthing the mythical “one stop shop” for their prized possession. I’ve been there, you’ve been there, the guy 10,000 miles away on Reddit has been there. But how many times have car guys come together and done something about it? Very very few. This, is one of those times.

Established in 2021, Project11 is the brainchild of a trio of Porsche enthusiasts who decided to take things in their own hands after embarking on the aforementioned quest, but failing to find the promised land.

At first glance they saw a huge Porsche community, a thriving car scene and perhaps the most GT3RS’s in flesh. However, as time went on – they realized that the so-called ‘Porsche specialists’ operating outside of the dealer network, were actually just generalists. They lacked the proper facilities, the specialist tools or qualified technicians. Its the same feeling of disappointment when you go up close to a car that you thought was nice, only to realize its on cut-springs, fake wheels and a very very questionable wrap.

Frustrated and with a fire in their bellies, Project11 was born – a workshop exclusively dedicated to Porsche, led and owned by passionate Porsche owners. Their mission? To become the best Independent Porsche Specialist this side of Stuttgart. Nestled in the heart of Dubai’s automotive district in Al Quoz and operating in silence for a couple of years, the boys behind P11 (pun intended), finally decided to hold their official launch with friends, family & fellow Porsche owners.

Canape’s and refreshing chillers to keep you company while you swoon over an envious line-up of Porsche’s including a pair of generation apart GT2RS’s that were nonchalantly described as ‘customer cars.’, Project11’s launch had me run into a bunch of Porsche enthusiasts, owners and some old friends who went from 350Z’s and WRX STI’s to Landcruisers and Pathfinders. We remember them in our prayers.

Setting foot inside is an experience, and you know they are serious about what they do – a digital first service advisory desk to your right, a separate storage unit for spares & parts, easy-access lift for lowered / stanced cars & a customer lounge on the 2nd floor that could put your living room to shame. They’ve go tit all. Oh! I almost forgot, they have a work desk setup incase you’d like to get a shift in while you wait.

Dubai’s Porsche community has warmly embraced Project11, recognizing it as the right destination for their prized possession. With its seamless blend of expertise, camaraderie and one of the cleanest workshop floors I have seen – this unique garage has set a new benchmark.
